1) In yourself…
What are you good at? What makes you feel good? What brings you the most joy? What makes you laugh? In addition to your strengths, hobbies, passions, hopes, and dreams.
Taking time to think about the goodness in you can help promote self love and self acceptance, in addition to boosting your confidence, and keep your self-critical sense at bay.
2) In the people you care about…
What are they good at? What about them makes you happy to have them in your life?
Taking time to notice the goodness in the people you care about will enhance your relationships, and give you a deeper sense of appreciation for those around you.
3) In your surroundings…
What have you seen around you lately that has brought a smile to your face? It can be anything, including an act of kindness, a billboard with an uplifting message, a book, an article, a work of art, nature, ect…
Taking time to see the goodness in your surroundings will open your eyes to the best things in life. The goodness that surrounds us always just waiting to be discovered.
Thinking about all of these daily will help you train your mind to see the goodness in almost all people/situations/environments. Focusing on the goodness will make life’s ups more enjoyable and life’s downs more bearable, because at the end of the day its all about your attention and where you put it.
May you always be aware of the goodness inside of you and around you.
